I truly don't get this kid. (How many times am I going to say that over the next 18 years?). Seriously, he took a late nap yesterday and consequently was up until midnight, and then was up bouncing on our bed at 6 this morning. He then refused to take a nap today, and now it is after 9 pm and guess who's still awake? Why don't parents have access to tranquilizers? Oh yeah, it's called Benadryl- I think I'm going to go look for some now...

oh... but look how cute he looks in that big bed. :)
Ryan is often the same way. Jacob is asleep withing five minutes. Ryan is playing or "reading" books under the night light. Then he'll come out and play the "I have to go potty game."
The one that infuriates/amuses the most is when a minute or two after we close the door, he opens it and crawls out. He seems to think that by crawling he has engaged some top secret stealth technology. Frequently just by hearing him we will call from another room, "Ryan get back in bed." At this point he replies, "I had a bad dream." Remember this is one or two minutes after we left the room.
You can never let your guard down when Ryan is around.
Oh the things kids put us through. Grace will be up for hours in and out of her room after we have put her to bed. Drugs definitely seem like a good option around the 20th late night visit.
